Brewongle Environmental Educational Centre Date: Tuesday 26 March 2024 8:45am - 3:00pm (Please note the earlier departure time. The bus cannot wait for late arrivals.) Students will attend a guided walk in the bush around the Brewongle Environmental Education Centre, learning about the Dharug uses for plants. They will search for leaves of all the rainbow colours, using leaf windows to look closely at leaves, digging around for leaf letter bugs, and using Brewongle's student binoculars to look closely at birds. Students will navigate Brewongle using hand held GPS units and maps to find clues to break a hidden code, communicating via walkie-talkies. Students will catch waterbugs and analyse and identify the bugs using iPad microscopes. Students will travel via chartered bus, equipped with seat belts. Full school uniform including hat must be worn. Students are to bring their own recess and lunch. Students are to bring their own water bottle. Students must NOT bring expensive items as the school takes no responsibility for any potential theft or loss.

Our facilitators will provide opportunities to increase quality interaction with your children, connect you with other parents and local services, support self care, whilst encouraging play in the home.

Call on your family and friends to support our school community and be in the draw to win one of our egg-cellent Easter hampers that are sure to keep you and the kids entertained! The raffle will be drawn on Thursday, 28th March, at the hat parade. 1st and 2nd name draws can select the prize of their choosing The last chance to enter will be THURSDAY, 28th MARCH. Look for the P&C, we will be there supporting the school at the hat parade. Please return the ticket stubs and cash to the office with the following information: • Child’s name and class on each ticket stub, OR you can put the purchaser’s name and the related child’s name and class. • Amount of money enclosed (the P&C accepts cash for this event).

Dear Parents /Carers. St Marys South Public School will be having our Hat Parade on Thursday 28th March. The parade will begin at 9:30am, followed by a picinic on the Binda. Students can wear a colourful, creative or fun hat. All Parents & Carers are welcome to attend. Tea, coffee and sweets will be available to purchase at the school canteen.
